In the framework of the project “Increasing the financial autonomy and accountability at public Higher education institutions in Kosova” the 4th workshop was held at the University of Peja “Haxhi Zeka” in Kosovo, on June 8– 10, 2015.
The event started with the welcome speech which was given by the Rector of the University of Peja – Prof.Asoc. Dr. Naser Mrasori. The workshop continued with a Plenary Meeting where were discussed the objectives and expected outcomes of this workshop. In addition to this it was also discussed the New Higher Education Law.
In the next session of the workshop two presentations from experts were delivered by:
- Higher Education Institutes and Autonomy – Hubert Dürrstein, International Expert for Higher Education Management;
- Fundraising – Carolina Madeleine, International Project Management Office-OGPI, University of Alicante.
After the presentations, participants asked questions and contributed significantly in the discussion by providing their opinions, experiences and exchanging ideas on the higher education institutes and autonomy, and fundraising.
In the second day of the meeting participants were separated into two groups:
- Group A worked on the White Paper and was moderated by the FH Campus Wien.
- Group B worked on the Fundraising and Grant Writing and was moderated by the University of Alicante.
Each of the groups worked individually in order to achieve the necessary results in the workshop.
In the third day groups continued to work on their tasks, where group A worked on the White Paper. As for the Group B they were focused on: good practices on fundraising by FAITH partners and project ideas presentation by FAITH partners. In the end of the day a plenary session was held, where were discussed the learned lessons in this workshop.
Furthermore the meeting ended with a Consortium Meeting, where one person from every partner institution of the FAITH project participated. In the Consortium Meeting, besides other topics, participants decided the next steps that will be taken for the FAITH project.
