Prishtine. A workshop on the finalization of WHITE PAPER was held at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Kosovo on July 8th -10th.  This workshop was held under the framework of the TEMPUS project 544142-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-AT-TEMPUS-SMGR “Increasing the Financial Autonomy and accountability at public higher education institutions in Kosova“.
The key objective of the workshop was the correction and finalization of the White Paper current version on the Financial Autonomy and Accountability of public higher education institutions.
The participants of this workshop include the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Kosovo, Kosovo Accreditation Agency, University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, University of Peja “Haxhi Zeka”, University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti” and WUS Kosova.
 
The workshop began on Friday, the 8th, with welcoming words by Drita Kadriu, Director of the Higher Education Department in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Kosovo, Elmi Kelmendi, Senior Legal Officer, Kosova Accreditation Agency, Mjellma Carabregu, Director of WUS Kosova, Prof. Dr. Myrvete Badivuku, Vice-Rector for Budget and Finance at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina“, Prof. Afrim Selimaj, Vice – Rector for Budget and Finance at the University “Haxhi Zeka“ in Peje, and the University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti“.
 
During the first day of the workshop a new software was presented titled “Management of Budget and Finance“. Further presentation of the methodology of the workshop were held by Drita Kadriu, Director of the Higher Education Department at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Kosovo and But Dedaj, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina“.
The second and third day of the workshop included additional discussion on the finalization of the White Paper. The end of the third day of the workshop entailed a preview of the next steps of the project.
