In the framework of the project “Financial autonomy and accountability” the first internal workshop was held in the University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti”, on March 24, 2016.
The welcome speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Rame Vataj, Rector of the UPz. He thanked the participants and emphasized the progress that the university has made in their path towards institutional financial autonomy amd accountability and its importance in the quality of the University. Teh Rector of University of Prizren "Ukshin Hoti"  and Mjellma Carabregu, WUS Kosova gave a short presentation of the Financial Autonomy and Accountability accordding to the current version of the White Paper.
The first presentation was delivered by Furtuna Mehmeti, representative of KAA (Kosova Accreditation Agency) on the topics accreditation, autonomy and financial accountability of the public higher education institutions in Kosova.
The second presentation, prepared by Mr. Halim Haziraj, was given by Mr. Taulant Thaqi, Officer for Budget and Finance of the University of Prizren. He presented in more details the progress that has made towards the financial autonomy and accountability by the university management. Moreover, Mr. Thaqi mentioned that all finance officers of the Finance Department have been trained and certified for their current jobs by the required authorities.
The third and fourth presentation had the aim to bring to the participants a short presentations on relevant topic, from the European partner university presentations that were already given in previous training workshops and study visits:

• Prof. Dr. Gani Gjini, University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti”: Presentation of Jörg Hormann “Towards the global budget: Target negotiations and University development planning”, University of Saarland
• Mjellma Carabregu, WUS Kosova: Presentation of Akos Barna, “Financial Management at Saarland University”, University of Saarland

After the presentations, there was a an excerice done on the Dimension of the University Autonomy at the University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti” by its staff, according to the parameters of the European University Association.
