In the framework of the project “FAITH - Increasing the financial autonomy and accountability at public Higher education institutions in Kosova” a field monitoring visits were held at:
- University of Peja “Haxhi Zeka” on September 17, 2015,
- University of Prizren “Ukshin Hoti” on September 18, 2015 and
- University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, on September 28, 2015.
The aim of the field monitoring visit, which were conducted by Office of Erasmus+ in Kosovo on behalf of the EACEA, was to evaluate the implementation of the activities foreseen by the project framework and also which activities will be implemented in the future. In addition, Kosovo Erasmus+ Office was interested to see if any of the Universities had encounter any financial/operational problems during the implementation of the project and to discuss how to solve these problems.
Erasmus+ Office of Kosovo was represented by Remzije Istrefi and Goran Lazic. Ms. Istrefi met with the key persons at each of the participating universities, as well as with representatives of WUS Kosova and Project Coordinator, Mr. Thorsten Eder.
During the monitoring meetings, in order for Ms. Istrefi to meet all the relevant staff involved in the project, at each university, were held two separate meetings. One meeting was with the Rector and Vice-Rectors of the Universities. The second meeting was with the other part of the involved staff in the implementation of the Project, such as with Project Coordinator, Director of the Office for International Cooperation, Director of the Office for Finances, Director for Procurement and Director of Information Technology Office etc.
During the meetings, participants discussed the key issues of the Project, as well as the implemented activities and how these activities contributed in the further development of the process in which FAITH project is working on. Additionally, representatives of the universities answered all the questions that the Kosovo Erasmus+ Office had, and informed them for the next steps of the FAITH project.
